You wouldn't be tiling on Modwood, it's a composite decking material. I would say they have just put the wrong detail on the first plans and when they have reviewed the drawing seen that it is supposed to be a tiled floor Oh i see And ...
Oh i see And it wouldnt matter if the balcony joist were fixed to the brickworks or the wood frame?
