Re: Help reading engineering drawing.. please ! 2Sep 06, 2010 11:06 am What are your questions? I don't understand what you are asking, the information is all there. The big arrow shows the direction of fall, IE from high point of land to low point. Note says it will need to be graded flat. Other lines show sewer and stormwater. Just from looking at that you are not on a cliff Re: Help reading engineering drawing.. please ! 5Sep 06, 2010 11:41 am I think you have cut off a little too much to make reading it easy, however it appears that you have a 2m easement with stormwater and sewerage at the back. There appears to be a Sewer pit at the North West of your block and a stormwater pit at the North West of your Southern Neighbors block. Natham misquoted slightly, the arrow indicates that the block should be even graded (not "graded flat") that is you just ensure that if there is 1m of fall from the North East to the South West you ensure that when the block is graded there is no flat parts or steep parts, ie smooth transition from the high point to the low point. Thanks mate. 2m easement on the back of the property should be fine. We'll just have to build our garden around it. If i'm correct, sewer pit means that there will be a sewer manhole, which I don't think should be an issue. Storm-water pit on our neighbors block shouldn't be an issue as well . What are the the two dots at the South West end of our property ? Re: Help reading engineering drawing.. please ! 7Sep 06, 2010 12:22 pm I think the dots are just where the property will be connected into the system. The sewerage cover I think will look like the bit of concrete in the attached photo. It's about 300mm in diameter Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ View our blog at: http://room4acubby.blogspot.com/ Re: Help reading engineering drawing.. please ! 8Sep 06, 2010 12:52 pm room4acubby I think you have cut off a little too much to make reading it easy, however it appears that you have a 2m easement with stormwater and sewerage at the back. With the Sewer pit, are they open at the top (as it is showing in the picture above) ? Cause then it might be an issue with smell coming from it.. ? Re: Help reading engineering drawing.. please ! 10Sep 11, 2010 1:56 am room4acubby The sewerage cover I think will look like the bit of concrete in the attached photo. It's about 300mm in diameter Closer to a metre in diameter for the total manhole. The covers are around 600, large enough for someone to go down (expanding underground). Cover can be concrete or metal depending upon requirements. Baronox With the Sewer pit, are they open at the top (as it is showing in the picture above) ? Cause then it might be an issue with smell coming from it.. ? They are generally air tight. Its also an enclosed sewage pipe inside at the bottom. Smells wont be a problem. There maybe should be an additional J1 between TB10 and T12 if… 3 32082 Thanks for all replies. I just noticed now the pictures I added to post right on top of page were wrong. I attached pictures showing "current" and my "suggested" floor… 9 14815 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7475 |
