Which weren't originally in our tender (not surprising) when they had been promised. So happy about that. Still waiting on colours variation, due this week. We don't need much to secure a start date. Can't believe it's almost time Also changed our mind on tile selections, vinyl plank still the same. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Can you source Beaumont tiles from other business'? When we wanted a particular tile that Beaumont weren't stocking anymore, the woman told us many of the tiles do come from suppliers but that the difficulty is working out who (because let's face it, Beaumont won't tell us if they know we are going elsewhere lol). Having said that when I've been in Harvey Norman lately I have seen lots of times that look exactly like many of the styles I have seen in Beaumont. What were you after in particular? Thinking I will change again.. And go deeper on the floor lol! So far I've known pretty much what we want, but these tiles are doing my head in. Got our colour variations late Friday so can't get going with anything until Tuesday. Some things still wrong etc. Hopefully get everything finalized next week and get out start date! Also didn't hear back from anyone about the colour selection until 3pm today, they said they will be trying to sort it out tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can get it done quickly in between work. Absolutely love the bathroom tiles. I'm a big fan of stone-looking tiles! I wanted Bluestone in the bathrooms but they apparently need to be sealed front, back and sides and I know there's no way any tiler Coral employs would do that lol. Those ones you have picked look very very natural, with the added benefit of being low maintenance! Love your main floor choice too. Fingers crossed you hear something about your colour variations today and a start date shortly after! C U S T O M. C O R A L. They are giving me grief about the aircon, they won't add it to the build even though we told our sakes lady that we were going to install and supply aircon outside of coral but during the build. I won't be happy if we can't get the rough in done! (Ducted AC) Also tiles take 12 weeks to get here apparently. I'm worried they won't get here in time for when needed by the tilers what stage do they come in? Thanks Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 53May 05, 2016 10:10 am So coral has agreed to raise a variation for the aircon! It will delay our start date apparently, but she is working on getting it done as quickly as she can. So yes.. Still waiting to book a start date but moving forward! Just wrote a novel in the general thread >.< Our consultant is asking where our tiles are going. We mentioned to our sales lady last year at start of tenders then we want to tile to ceiling, but she said don't add to contract as coral are expensive, and that we just ask the tiler on site? So do I just tell our sales lady tiles going to standard areas? Then ask SS about seeing tiler, to finish tiling to ceiling? I think consultant said she has to raise a variation for extra cost because we are laying porc rect tiles to floor boo Cheers, Tegan (& Josh) Marcoola 30 with CORAL HOMES 2016 SANDSTONE LAKES, NINGI Queensland Our Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82452 Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 56May 17, 2016 11:57 am I'm so PO. We started this process last year in October (2015) Paid the deposit December 2015, and only got to sign contract with variations (because was still wrong) in March 2016. It's now May, and we still have no start date! Our sales lady failed to inform anyone that we were owner supplying ducted air con so now it's another huge stuff around and they say the draftsman won't be done until next week! We thought we would be built and moving in by June.. But in reality haven't even started!! Seriously been the biggest stuff around. Coral are soooooo slow! Not to mention they're charging us admin fees for their stuff up first time builders.. Not impressed.
