Wednesday snoop visit 188Feb 25, 2009 3:28 pm Snoop visit Wednesday - plumbers were working, preparing lead flashing for lower floor roof tiles. The duct work has been commenced for the A/C - it looks like someone opened a big can of shiny worms in our roof The evaporator/condensor has been installed above the hallway, and the wire for the control box is hanging in the wall that faces the top of the stairs.

It took me about 6 attempts to get this photo lined up, I had to hold the phone at arm's length above my head and just kept getting extreme close-ups of tiles. The greenish tinge is only a camera phone effect, they're charcoal. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ <edit> I almost forgot - the upstairs cladding now has a thick coating. Haha, I had the same phone call from the lady when I only had the slab last year!!! I told her to call back in April...I was too optimistic about the builid i can't wait to see my solar panel too!! Now that I also got a roof, wonder what else need to be done before these plumbing can start?? Building Clarendon Brighton - Done and moved in Sept 2009 Re: Cambridge Chronicle - We Moved in a Year ago! 190Feb 25, 2009 10:54 pm eho ...wonder what else need to be done before these plumbing can start?? Assuming your plumbing was "roughed" in between frame and brickwork, You should already have the pipes in between the hot water system and the roof, so as soon as the roof is done, the solar panels can go on. I noticed there is also a small cable that now follows the pipes from the solar panel back to the tank, must be for a temperature sensor? My hot water tank is not installed yet, wouldn't want it to get stolen Built the C£arend0n Cambridge: Moved in. Happy campers. The aircon ducting had been finished off since two days ago and there is one refrigerant pipe installed down to the slab where the compressor sits. I assume there will eventually be another one, and I was surprised by the large bore of the pipe - about 20-25mm. There were quite a few roll ends of duct tape ****** around - the first time I've seen duct tape used to actually tape ducts .
So I used some leftover duct tape to tape over our storm water inlets. The connection points at ground level for the downpipes were taped over originally, but most of the tape has come off. I hate to think how much stray brick mortar and other crap has fallen down those pipes. These are the pipes that carry rain water from the downpipes to our storm water tank. You're thinking of gaffer tape, quite a different beast. Gaff tape is cloth-based and even sticks to carpet. Built the C£arend0n Cambridge: Moved in. Happy campers. Now there is no scaffold in the house it looks bigger from the inside. According to the SS weekly update, he was "stuffed around" by the scaffold contractor and lost a couple of days this week, but we should be ready for pre-plaster inspection in about a week.
