Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 09, 2009 9:07 pm We are waiting on our ranghood and stove which are to be delivered at any time, infact the man called to say they would be delivered on Tuesday between 11 and 1 and never showed. We knew that our oven would be delayed until around June.
My mum heard people calling a Brisbane radio station this afternoon saying they were not happy about the delay in recieving products that had been paid for. After some googling tonight we have discovered that they have appointed voluntary administrators (http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,,25314813-36418,00.html?from=public_rss. We have spent $6000 with Kleenmaid and I must admit we were not too worried about the delay in delivery as our renovation has not started and we were not needing the products for some time. We have been offered a 7 night holiday as an apology for the delay in recieving products, and after filling in the form and faxing it back we have heard nothing (this was at least 4 weeks ago). To say we are worried is an understatement. I want to know where my products are that were menat to be delivered on Tuesday, there was no return number left, just a message saying when they would be delivered. I am wondering if there is anyone else in this position, or if anyone knows what we can do. I have some numbers here that I can call next week but apparently they were not taking calls from the radio station today. We can't afford this! Andrea Re: Anyone else waiting for their Kleenamd Products? 2Apr 09, 2009 9:10 pm WTF???? Please tell me this is a joke. We have paid for 12k worth of appliances. Wow, this is just great isn't it. Terrence Malick Re: Anyone else waiting for their Kleenamd Products? 4Apr 09, 2009 9:16 pm Are you ready to take delivery Joles, have you been put off by them? When they told me that the oven delivery would be delayed I asken them to delay delivery of the rangehood and stove aswell. A lady called about 2 weeks ago to suggest I take delievery of the range hood and stove now, she mentioned that I wouldn't want to get the oven only to find that the others would be on back order also. In another convosation when a different lady called to tell me that the oven would be longer than first anticipated I got really cranky telling her that the $6000 would be much better sitting on my mortgage until the items were ready. They make us pay in 30 days and then string us out. We paid for our items at the end of Janurary. From what my mum could gather there were a lot of people in my position, they had paid for them and were awaiting delivery and had not recieved anything. I really hope that it is not as bad as we think. My husband found that article, I am off to have a read now. Andrea Re: Anyone else waiting for their Kleenamd Products? 6Apr 09, 2009 9:19 pm No we are nowhere near taking delivery..... this is all I need. We are having cabinetry built to fit these appliances... I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I have heard nothing until this thread..... I need a Bex and a good lie down. I'd go for the alcohol over the bex! Sorry this has happened to you and others getting Kleenmaid appliances. If they're having trouble, it makes you wonder who the heck is next. Judie Re: Anyone else waiting for their Kleenamd Products? 10Apr 09, 2009 9:30 pm Oh Judie, it's lovely of you to think of us. But we are talking about a relatively small amount of money. It's nothing compared to what you've just been through and are going through. In the scheme of things, it's not that bad. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Anyone else waiting for their Kleenamd Products? 11Apr 09, 2009 9:30 pm Quote: No. I bloody need one though. I can't believe it! After all the fighting/changes you made to get to use your appliances!!! I really hope something gets sorted out for all affected My karma ran over your dogma Re: Anyone else waiting for their Kleenmaid Products? 16Apr 10, 2009 9:36 am I don't understand the whole holiday offer? How can they afford this if they are in administration? Its just weird.... Our builder uses Kleenmaid, hopefully we aren't effected but its still a worry as you wouldn't expect it from such a great brand!! What happens to their amazing 10 year warranty??? I definitely didn't see this one coming! ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Re: Anyone else waiting for their Kleenmaid Products? 17Apr 10, 2009 6:18 pm I heard about Kleenmaid on tonights news found this article http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/st ... 02,00.html Re: Anyone else waiting for their Kleenmaid Products? 18Apr 10, 2009 7:49 pm Jo and Andrea That's just awful. Not a company I would have expected to hear this about. Do you think the administrators might release stock if it is available and you can get what you have paid for, doesn't seem much sense in doing nothing with it. Probably not how it works though. It's sad to see an Australian company go under. What a pain too, you invest so much effort, time and money into making choices and then this happens, especially for you Jo with having cabinetry specially made for those appliances. Hopefully that part hasn't been started yet. Hope this works out in your favour one way or another, fingers crossed. Re: Anyone else waiting for their Kleenmaid Products? 19Apr 10, 2009 9:05 pm Hi guys, We are also waiting on some Kleenmaid products though I am counting our blessings that our oven was delivered last week. They initially told us they didn't have the goods but we had asked that they stored the oven in the back of their shop and thankfully after pushing them it was still there and my DH kept at them until it was delivered. We have also paid for a rangehood and a coffee machine (both apparently not in stock) that I'm not hopeful about. Our oven is 1200 wide, so I'm also not sure how successful we'll be getting one from a different company.I also have a nice Kleenmaid sized coffee machine hole in the cabinetry. This really sucks! We are so strapped for cash at the moment and thought this was one thing that was all sorted out. My sympathies to Jo, Andrea and anyone affected. We so didnt' see this one coming!
