Re: The story of a front fence 10May 17, 2009 11:26 pm donuts Stormy, I actually can't remember how many palletts there were possibly 3? I will ask builder when I see him possibly tomorrow. If Henley don't come back to you with the batch number you might be able to contact PGH themselves, I jsut contacted Austral directly for mine oh just read again that you have 6, I am pretty sure this will be more than enough if yours will be 1.5m high like mine. what colour metal infills will you have? Also have a look around or go to a steel manufacturer to see what sort of spears/heads you can get on top of them, there are quite a few and I had to choose mine in a hurry, so I went with the safe traditional look but wondering if I should have gone for something else. (Yours probably would go well with safe and traditional though!) Thanks Donuts! I hope I don't need to order any more, but what is left on the property doesn't really look like much. The fence will be somewhere between 1.3 and 1.5m high, just haven't decided! I will have black metal infills and a black letter box to match the black front doors and the black lights. You are correct about the traditional style infills! I will most likely go for a 'fleur-de-lis'...being French! of course! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! I am not too sure what type of a fence I am going to have was thinking of something similar to yours Re: The story of a front fence 15May 18, 2009 9:40 am sorry flissfloss missed your reply last night. Yes I have some vague visions in my head about plants for the front yard, they will be nicely framed and contained by my fence now d@n Now if only you can get that electricity pole straightened. Yeah or get rid of it altogether!!! I wish you could photoshop things in real life and just erase it for me!! Haha Stormy I had to google fleur-de-lis to discover that's what I have thanks Southies, no they supplied everything except for the motor! I am pretty sure the cappings are just your standard type cappings that you find at concrete/paving suppliers, just the cheap stuff thanks also to Pugs, lisanne and Tillie. Re: The story of a front fence 16May 18, 2009 1:28 pm Hi Donuts The fence looks great. For some reason I kept thinking you already had a fence and then I remembered that yours was a photoshop of what you wanted. It confused me because the photoshop image was obviously so good it looked like you already had a fence. So congratulations on now having the real fence. Re: The story of a front fence 17May 25, 2009 12:51 pm The fence looks awsome! The metal infills and gate finish it off beautifully. I really love your bricks, actually the whole front of house is stunning! Well done! Everything does come together, eventually. Re: The story of a front fence 18May 25, 2009 3:32 pm thanks photogirl and Clarity since posting this we've had the intercom connected up and the gate now slides automatically behind the rest of the fence at the touch of a button either from the intercom handset or a remote control. I now do the Maxwell Smart thing to get in the house - gate slides sideways, garage door goes up, in goes my car it's very cool. Re: The story of a front fence 19May 27, 2009 11:39 pm The water metre is inside the property, so how do they read it? Did you get another fitted outside? Re: The story of a front fence 20May 28, 2009 6:59 am Ours will be inside also . Not happy that they will be entering our property to read it, though we've got neighbours who are in a similar situation & just ring up with the readings themselves Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Old Home Restoration / Renovation Try your local council.
