While searching for cool looking ornaments I came across this
I was thinking of having something like this in the entry of my house.
Just wondering if that sort of thing is still cool or out-dated?

Is this "hot" or "over the top"? 8Jan 04, 2010 6:55 pm It looks pretty cool but depends on your house I would think - do you have a huge entry I'd like one perched on top of my fence to scare the bejeezuz out of the hawkers Jazzie Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: Opinion needed. Is this "hot" or "over the top"? 10Jan 04, 2010 7:56 pm mmm, totally not my taste BUT I can see why you like it. I do like it, it's a nice peice. You should have it if you want it and you can afford it. It would have to be in a modern type house though. www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: Opinion needed. Is this "hot" or "over the top"? 11Jan 05, 2010 8:51 am I think it looks fantastic but as said previously you wouldneed the right entry to your house for it to work. If you do get the panther I would reccomend installing a downlight to shine on the panther Cheers. Re: Opinion needed. Is this "hot" or "over the top"? 12Jan 11, 2010 12:08 pm Mixed feeling s I see. My entry is quite large and needs something there. I like it because it is quite tall and more stylish than a plant. I know you shouldn't decorate your house for others but at the end of the day we do love to impress, don't we? Having something just inside the entry that catched the eye when people first enter sets a certain impression. I have a home office and occationally have clients come through my front door so setting an impression is important. What do you guys have in your entry? Re: Opinion needed. Is this "hot" or "over the top"? 13Jan 11, 2010 12:37 pm Well, our house is still being built... but our entry is quite large. We're having a buffet along one wall, with 3 large mirrors on the wall above it. On the oppoiste side, I was looking for a Balinese day bed, but it was too big, so bought a 3 seater Balinese bench seat instead. Above this we have our wedding photos, all on canvas. Is this "hot" or "over the top"? 15Jan 11, 2010 1:14 pm There was a photo of someone with a big Balinese head statue thing...I think it was a water feature as well....in their entry which looked good...I can't recall who it was... ...some of the arty farty decorational people might remember. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Opinion needed. Is this "hot" or "over the top"? 16Jan 11, 2010 1:35 pm I like it, but then again I'm a cat person. I don't think it looks outdated, the materials and the pose are arty and I think that in a modern context it will fit right in. If it were a porcelain true-to-life sculpture it might look a little out-dated as an entry feature. Very expensive though, I would hope that it is the sort of sculpture to appreciate in value Re: Opinion needed. Judie Well, I'll just say that it looks horrible. I don't think it has any place in a house. Please don't crucify me for my comment either, an honest opinion was asked for. If it were one of my friends who asked me I'd say that "it's really nice". But then behind their back I would make crazy eyes. Don't worry when I post my plans and ideas I expect people here not to hold back and tell me exactly how they think it looks. If it's not the truth I don't want to hear it. Re: Opinion needed.
