Anyone have them 6May 06, 2010 7:45 am Thanks all for the replies, im going to go and have a look at them today and hopefully pop them on layby, i dont have enough room for them here at mums and they offer a 6 month layby which is great for me as i dont have to find somewhere to store them. robbo3 - i have taken a note regarding the different coloured caps etc and will chat with them about that today. Im not prepared to spend $1500 plus mattresses on something thats not perfect. That unstained part would annoy the hell outta me. Will take some pics and upload when i get home! v Re: Bunkers - Bunk Beds??? Anyone have them 7May 06, 2010 8:59 pm Well thought i would do a quick update to say we went to the showroom today and these beds are fabulous. They are so sturdy and the quality is just sooooo much better than anything else i have ever seen. We got the lo-line long wall bunk, the top bunk is a perfect height and any concerns about my daughter being in a bunk have disappeared, it really is very low. We ended up getting dark baltic stain but may change to the darker walnut, we initially wanted the white however, the cracks show through after a while and bits get yellow from the light so decided to go with a stain instead. Will have to add lots of brick colours pink/purple/aqua to there room to make it look a little more girly. They were more expensive than other bunks etc i have seen but the quality again is so much better. Total cost was $2000 for the bunks, including a trundle, chest of drawers, a trundle mattress, two of there top quality single mattresses, delivery and we also got them to add a curved headboard to both beds to again make them a bit more girly. I dont work for this company or have anything to do with them but honestly cant get over how good there stuff was, its all interchangable which means they can use these beds for a long long time. My favourite was the convert a cot (nearly makes me want to have another baby just to get one of these!). V Re: Bunkers - Bunk Beds??? Anyone have them 8May 08, 2010 5:56 pm Great that you found what you wanted V. I love the look of the long wall bunks and that you can have the drawers and a trundle - they wouldn't fit in our rooms though, darn it, just a bit too long. Re: Bunkers - Bunk Beds??? Anyone have them 10May 08, 2010 7:19 pm We did have this one but gave it away when we moved. It was great space saver and the boys had a spare bed when a friend stay.http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a128/pinkpanther80/triple-bunk-de.jpg from memory I paid about $700 for it that was with a discount. ETA I got it from Homemakers and it's called the triple bunk. http://burbankascent2500.blogspot.com/ https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28503 [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] HOUSE COMPLETED IN 119 DAYS PCI Complete Handover 24th August Re: Bunkers - Bunk Beds??? Robbo3 are those doonas doubles, I've got doubles on there beds now and didn;t want to swap over for singles. Are they a pain to make? Re: Bunkers - Bunk Beds??? Anyone have them 12Aug 20, 2010 3:54 pm We had a look at the showroom and the beds look great. My only concern is they would be a PITA to make up! Particularly the longline ones. Anyone care to share their experiences with this? Anyone have them 13Aug 20, 2010 4:18 pm We have the mid line bunks and the top bunk is tricky to make because of the rails, mind you, we use blankets not a doona so might be easier with a doona. Still wouldn't swap them though as the quality is so good, I just don't change the sheets as often as I should. Re: Bunkers - Bunk Beds??? Anyone have them 14Aug 20, 2010 4:48 pm Mmm im not sure what they are like to make. Ours are getting delivered on the 30th so ill let you know then! Re: Bunkers - Bunk Beds??? ETA I got it from Homemakers and it's called the triple bunk. We have this one too as we had all 3 older boys in one room (small house...too small for 7 of us). The only complaint I would have is that I find it a bit difficult to make the beds especially with innerspring mattresses. Love having the 3 beds. Anyone have them 17Aug 30, 2010 11:57 pm Hi Folks, My two just outgrew there bunkers beds about a year ago. They are the tall beds as per the photo's. We chose the taller ones rather than the mid high because their rooms were so small that these allowed us to put their toy boxes and book shelves underneath where they could sit and play without bumping heads. Fantastic quality and excellent strength - ours had them for about 10 years!! Yes, they were more difficult to make up but it wasn't too bad; They're now in storage!! http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af300/Eskay40/DSCF1703.jpg http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af300/Eskay40/DSCF1705.jpg Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34120 Handover 23 Dec 11 Squatting 21 Dec 11 Fixed 12 Oct 11 Plastered 31 Aug 2011 Framed 7 June 2011 Site Start 7 Feb 2011 Land Titled 18 Jan 2010 Land Deposit 25 Jun 2009 Re: Bunkers - Bunk Beds??? I must say that making them for the first time was a bit of a pain in the butt, but im sure ill work out an easier way to do it. They really are extremely sturdy and seem to be great quality. http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv239/aliyahasia/001-4.jpg http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv239/aliyahasia/003-4.jpg V Re: Bunkers - Bunk Beds???
