Will have to look into that, from memory I think windowexpert was from NZ, pity he's not around any more. The price includes delivery (but not installation).
For that price I will be getting a proper quote done for all windows in the house when the time comes. www.trendwindows.com.au And no, I don't work for them. I just got told about this forum today and got the price estimate back from Trend today also. We're in the process of getting quotes for all the work we want done... and there's LOTS of it!! Pretty much every room in the house is being changed in one way or another. Re: Local double-glazing supplier 19Jul 07, 2008 6:35 pm Quote: $100k for our windows (over 80m2) Seriously though, with that area of glazing and associated price, it might be cost effective to travel to Europe to watch over production/packing/shipping and then to pay for a couple of installers to come here. Some allegedly have done just that, see http://www.byohouse.com.au/forum4/viewtopic.php?t=711. As I said, my figure was a very rough estimate from our designer and I am hoping it will be a lot less, but the difference is.....well.....unbelievable.....especially when you consider cabinfever's quote of $4,500 for just one (large) window.
They are actually up your way, Cabinfever, well up North anyway GP Glass 14 Kelcey Thier Road SPREYTON TAS 7310 Telephone: (03) 6427 3166 Fax: (03) 6427 3161 We are still a while away from getting serious quotes...but have book marked their site.
